Pomegranate is located in one of the most vibrant Inner West suburbs of Balmain.
Since it opened it’s doors in 2005, it has been included in publications such as The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, Cheap Eats and in numerous other publications such as SMH Good Living, SMH The Sydney Magazine and others.
Pomegranate stands out as one of the best Thai restaurants known for its innovation by using fresh ingredients and traditional Thai cooking techniques.
Some of the dishes created by Prasit Prateeprasen (now retired in Thailand) some 20 years ago, are still in the menu and still popular with the locals. Such dishes are Lamb in Massaman Curry and Banana Flower/Blossom Salad. Under the direction of Eric Sudardja the restaurant flourishes with new talent in the kitchen creating new and innovative dishes.
Look out for the blackboard specials.
